The Southview Acupuncture Clinic is owned and operated by Dave and Joan Marie Saum, who bring their experience and commitment to serving the community.

David Saum , L.Ac., Diplomate in Acupuncture, MS, Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Dave began learning and practicing the art of acupuncture 16 years ago as a professional martial arts instructor. After a 25 year teaching career, he pursued his master’s degree in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine at the American Academy of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Roseville. He is certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and is licensed by the Minnesota State Board of Medical Practice.

Joan Saum has spent much of her career in the benefits and insurance business, becoming familiar with many facets of this complex industry. She holds a Minnesota insurance producer’s license. Joan teaches Tai Chi at several locations in the area, and is a certified yoga instructor as well.
